He can capture the character of an aged painted finish, the luster of a weathered gray natural finish or the richness and depth of a well-cared-for finish that usually only time can produce.
Each finish process involves numerous applications and often hand-rubbed patinas. Most surfaces will have a distressed look, with different degrees of intensity depending on the customer's preferences. Original, one-of-a-kind decorative painting, as well as reproductions ranging from Scandinavian rosemaling to Pennsylvania Dutch, and also commissions on original artwork on any surface is available through the brilliant strokes of Carter Walker Payne’s hand.
